Process 36’s initial exhibition in our gallery space launches our programme and provides an insight into the methods and processes involved in the creation of high quality work designed and constructed in our building.

THERESA EASTON PRINT AND BOOKMAKING WORKSHOP
This day long, introductory printmaking & bookmaking workshop with Theresa Easton will give you a host of ideas and techniques to create your own artist’s books. Using simple & quick relief printing techniques this workshop will give you the chance to create a series of handmade stitched books. At the end of the day, you will create a pamphlet book, Japanese Stab bound book and a Turkish fold book, made from your own original prints.
The workshop is ideal for those with no experience and those needing a refresher course. Bring a project idea along or take part in the numerous possibilities that can produce your own unique books.

PRINTED POSTERS AND BROADSIDES EXHIBITION – 36 LIME STREET GALLERYThe gallery at 36 Lime Street becomes transformed into a working studio as resident artist Theresa Easton creates a range of hand printed posters in response to the “Northern Powerhouse” and the Great Exhibition of the North. Easton invites community groups to contribute to the work being made.

MAKE YOUR OWN PRINTED POSTER OR PLACARD AT 36 LIME STREETExhibiting artist and studio resident, Theresa Easton, will be helping visitors print their own poster using traditional letter press printing. Make your counter-cultural poster as part of The Other Great Exhibition of the North.

NORTHERN GLASS INNOVATIONS – 36 LIME STREET GALLERY
Showcasing the work of three contemporary glass artists, Joanne Mitchell, Sue Woolhouse and Laura Johnston, and their innovative approach to waterjet cutting. The dialogue between industrial process and contemporary craft is examined with strong links to the North East’s industrial heritage.
