36 Lime Street Open Studios 2026

Part of Ouseburn Open Studios

The much-anticipated Open Studios Event at the original Ouseburn artists’ studios, 36 Lime Street, will be held on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November this year.

Located in the heart of Ouseburn Valley, 36 Lime Street houses some of the region’s most innovative and talented visual artists, jewellers, ceramicists, musicians, and designers. Spanning five floors of a Grade II listed building, visitors are able to explore around 30 open studios, interact with the artists, see their newest work, commission or buy handmade art and design, view live demonstrations and performances, and find that original and unique gift just in time for Christmas.

Open from 10am to 5pm with free entry over the last weekend of November, the event continues to provide the bi-annual opportunity for the public to see where talented artists and makers create their work within their studio spaces and be immersed in the creativity of the Ouseburn.

Highlights of the Open Studios event include:

  • Explore creative studios and workshops and chat to artists and makers.
  • The chance to win bespoke art pieces through the Lime Street Raffle
  • Hands-on workshops for all ages (Back by popular demand, Jayamine De Silva will once again lead a Rangoil activity in Studio 5D. On Level 2, Theresa Easton will offer a free drop-in paper chain activity in 2B).
  • Live performances by resident musician Steve Luck, who will perform original piano music.
  • This family-friendly event has been a cornerstone of the city’s cultural calendar since 1994, drawing thousands of visitors each year. Each year, around 2,000 visitors come to explore the studios, engage with the artists, and take part in workshops and activities.
