Ouseburn Festival & International Print Biennale 2

The Ouseburn Festival Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th July 11am – 6pm celebrates the valleys unique cultural make up with music, banners, food, drink, heritage tours, horse rides, stalls and much much more. Coinciding with this years event is International Print Biennale the biggest printmaking event in the UK. Whether you enjoy seeing or making prints – there is something for everyone. Explore the world of print this summer with exhibitions and events in galleries, museums, libraries and universities across the North East of England, including 36 Lime Street Gallery.

36 Lime Street Gallery 11.00am – 4.00pm FREE
Frontier: a print exchange portfolio between fourteen European printers, including Lee Turner, of Hole Editions based at 36 Lime Street. Each of the printers studied at the renowned Tamarin Institute, New Mexico, USA.

Ouseburn Community Project @ the Ouseburn Farm 2.00pm – 4.00pm FREE
Also part of the International Print Biennale, the Ouseburn Community Project will be showcasing a collection of handmade, colourful bricks in and around the Ouseburn Farm as part of the festival weekend. Come along and have a go at printing your own Ouseburn Farm bag, ready to take away with printmaker Theresa Easton.
