Join us at 36 Lime Street for 2017’s biggest Open Studios event on the last weekend in November.
Located in the heart of the Ouseburn Valley, 36 Lime Street houses over 40 artists, makers, designers and musicians and we invite you to join us for 2017’s biggest open studios event. This is an opportunity to explore our quirky listed building, a warehouse designed by John Dobson, and to take a look behind the scenes into the work spaces of resident artists. See high quality work by a range of creative practitioners, meet the makers and enjoy a festive atmosphere with gift ideas from paintings and prints to sculpture, jewellery, textiles, furniture and glass plus half-hourly piano performances.
This year’s gallery exhibition will give visitors the chance to get involved:
Drawn In will include new drawings of views from 36 Lime Street by studio holders.
Drawn Out enables visitors to engage with, draw and display views within the building.

And you can help us maintain our amazing building by purchasing one of our covetable letterpress raffle tickets, which feature prints of members’ work hand-printed by Hole Editions. These are a prize in themselves with only 100 of each design available to buy. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the event.

SPRING OPEN STUDIOS 2018 | SATURDAY 17TH & SUNDAY 18TH MARCH
Spring Open Studios is now in its fifth year and artists at 36 Lime Street will be opening their studios to give members of the public a rare opportunity to see their working environment. This free event is a chance to meet the artists and to buy work directly from them. There will be sale items available and previews of new work.

Friday night is for Ouseburn Valley venues only from 7 – 11pm. Saturday night’s main
event takes place at venues across Ouseburn, central Newcastle and Gateshead.

We will be having a pop-up shop in the gallery showing a selection of work from
artists in the building and our popular limited edition hand-printed raffle tickets will
