Theresa Easton is a Printmaker also working with artist’s books which provide a platform for Easton’s interest in social history, political discourse, and commissions with libraries. Drawn to exploring contemporary cultural and historical episodes using a wide range of printing processes, Easton creates work for exhibitions, open studios, print & book fairs, and commissions.
As an artist with a socially engaged practice, she enjoys a collective approach to making artwork and developing ideas alongside participants. Her studio practice includes teaching workshops and working collaboratively with invited artists. Drawn to the direct historical connection with radical pamphleteers and broadsides, Easton combines letterpress printing and typesetting in her work with a range of printing processes.
Easton’s work features in collections around the world, Senate House Library, London; The Arthur & Mata Jaffe Centre for Book Arts, Florida and Book Arts Collection Triennial, Vilnius.
