This year’s programme will allow for 7 exhibitions to take place from May 2023 – February 2024. This opportunity is open to  artists, makers, curators and studio members. Any art form is welcome.

  • Exhibitions will run for a maximum of two weeks, with up to one week installation in advance.
  • 36 Gallery will publicise the programme via its website and e-marketing platforms.
  • Exhibitors are able to arrange a preview for their exhibition, in consultation with 36 Gallery.
  • Artists and curators are also responsible for invigilating their own shows – each show must be open to the public for a minimum of one weekend (12am – 5pm Saturday and Sunday).
  • 36 Gallery has no direct funding, therefore artists and curators are expected to fund their own shows.
  • Artists must note that 36 Gallery cannot insure any work while it is in the Gallery.
  • Exhibitors must return the space to its original condition after finishing exhibitions.

There are 8 ‘slots’ available for the exhibitions which can be: May / June, June / July, July / Aug, Sept / Oct, Oct / Nov, Nov / Dec, Dec / Jan, Jan / Feb, Feb / Mar

Applicants are asked to state a date preference within their application.

36
The former 36 Lime Street Gallery was established in 2009 as an artist run space to provide a platform for emerging and established artists to experiment and take risks with new work. Selected by committee from an open call, 7 proposals are selected and exhibited throughout the year.

The gallery space will continue to provide a platform as 36.
