Maria Sears is a resident artist and maker at 36 Lime Street. She is primarily a jeweler and is running a series of workshops in her studio teaching metalworking skills culminating in the creation of a ring. You will be guided through techniques of cutting and soldering silver using a range of tools, and make a ring designed by yourself. Sterling silver wire and sheet is provided.
The workshop is suitable for beginners. Maria is a patient and relaxed teacher and this is a fine opportunity to make something beautiful in a lovely working studio.
Workshops will run every month on a Saturday and you will need to check for exact dates and cost £30. The first two will be held on Saturday 24th March (this workshop is now fully booked) and Saturday 21st April from 1pm – 5pm. Places are limited, booking is essential and can be done through Maria.
