Ten Green Bowls is a solo exhibition of sculpture and wall drawings by Ian Douglas. Ian’ s unique use of material and process result in distinct and fascinating pieces of work which challenge the traditional methods by which they are made.

Interested in Minimalism, the Bauhaus movement and influenced by nature and geometry Ian’s works are created with highly crafted skill and precision yet embody a playfulness, often told through the title of the piece, which makes the work all the more intriguing to the viewer.

Ian originally trained as a silversmith and taught on the BA and MA courses in silversmithing, jewellery and furniture design at the Buckinghamshire University College. Ian currently lives and works in Gilsland, Cumbria.
