36 Lime Street, the oldest and largest studio group in the North East, houses over 40 artists, makers and designers. This diverse mix of creative talent includes sculptors, painters, glass artists, jewellers, ceramicists, textile artists, furniture makers, visual artists, musicians, puppeteers, designers, graphic designers, photographers and more.
In 1983 Michael’s community theatre company, Bruvvers, had lost its base on the Shields Rd and he was looking for new premises. He always had an eye for a bargain, and the former bonded warehouse, known locally as the Cluny,
Regretfully, but as with many other groups and organisations, it has now become prudent to postpone all public events at 36 Lime Street due to the Coronavirus/Covid 19 until further notice. This includes Spring Open Studios due to be held
